Virtualtravelguides is a dynamic content supplier for international e-commerce companies. We specialise in mass content for worldwide destinations, focusing on online media. Our company is entirely virtual, and everyone works from home. Since starting out in 2003, we have grown to include more than 40 Asia-based freelance writers, turning out about 5,000 pages of travel information each month. Although our work does not include travelling unfortunately, we get to travel virtually and earn good money writing about it.
We have written guides on more than 2,500 destinations worldwide. To meet the brief and budget needs of our clients, these guides are all written from internet research. A typical example of the kind of online travel guides we produce can be seen here; travel guide.
Web editor – travel sites
This is an exciting position managing SE Asia’s largest set of travel sites, and expanding them to cover other regions.
Skills set required;
- Must have at least two years of editorial and/or web management experience
- Good proof reading skills
- Well travelled, particularly in Southeast Asia
- English as a first language
- Professional work ethic, with a long term commitment
- Some SEO knowledge
- Ability to manage project development to deadlines
- Preferably Chiang Mai based (work from home).
- Familiarity of the apps market
Salary: 55,000 p/m + work permit. Annual leave, and some junkets.
